House of Earth and Blood | Part IV (Ch. 64-End)
DISCLAIMER: SPOILERS AHEAD!
We are officially at the end of January book club! I’d say we started the year off strong with this book.
Let’s get into the final part. All this time I thought Hunt was flawless. Sadly, my heart was torn out just like Bryce’s was when she finds out that he’s involved with the Synth dealings. What. A. Shame. Truly devastating. Him getting traded to Sandriel did not surprise me.
What I did love seeing is Bryce’s attempts to rekindle the sibling friendship she once had with Ruhn.
But, Lehabah?!?!?! The most gut-wrenching loss of the whole book! Why, Maas?! Why?! Lehaba didn’t get to experience the freedom Bryce bought her! Lehabah didn’t get to truly live! And she just sacrificed herself! I was metaphorically sobbing!!
Finally, I was glad to see my suspicions were correct. Bryce and her power! Her starborn power! And then her absorbing a shit ton of other power! Her making the Drop by herself! I mean c’mon. Of course she would make the Drop in such a badass way like that! Of course she would be registered as the most powerful Vanir.
As we come to the end of our January pick, I cannot wait to open the February pick: House of Sky and Breath.
Happy reading!
